Online vs Face to Face vs recorded Hypnotherapy sessions which are best?
Face to Face Hypnotherapy
Pro’s: Your client is in the room with you, you can see that they are relaxed respond to any movement they make. The hypnotic induction is bespoke to the client and the content or therapy part of the session is also bespoke to fit the clients exact needs.
Cons: Once the session is done, unless you book another, that’s it. Client has to travel to the hypnotherapist.
Online Hypnotherapy - Sessions done via video call
Pros: Sessions are bespoke to your client not just the hypnotic induction but also the therapy part. Again you can see your client keep a close eye on them and in my opinion it is just as effective as a face to face session. Session takes place in the comfort of the clients home.
Cons: The only thing to consider is possible loss of internet connection disrupting your Online hypnotherapy session. If this does happen the client would just fall asleep, or wake up. A simple safe guard is for the client to set an alarm for the end of the session. If it happens it’s an inconvenience, maybe another session would need to be booked.
Bespoke Recorded Hypnotherapy sessions - Recordings created specifically for a client.
Pros: So again a favourite induction, plus a tailored recording to suit the clients exact needs. These can be great because they can be used at the exact time they are needed, they can also be listened to over and over again. Client can listen anywhere. Slightly cheaper than a face to face session.
Cons: Not as powerful as an in person session, may need to be listened to 3-5 times to get the same effect as an in person hypnotherapy session.
Generic/ Off the shelf hypnotherapy session
Pros: Usually the hypnotherapist has a lot of experience in a particular area ie, weight loss, so they will call upon their many years of experience to create a recording that covers the common issues faced by people that want to lose weight. Can be used repeatedly and at any time. Cheaper than a bespoke hypnotherapy recording and a lot cheaper than an actual hypnotherapy session.
Cons: Not as powerful as a face to face session and not bespoke to the clients specific needs. It may need to be listened to quite often to get the same results.
